It is a bright morning in Milan. In the piazza, the sound of trams reaches the café. Elena steps in for a break before work.

“Good morning.”

“Good morning. A coffee, please.”

“Of course. At the counter or at a table?” the barista asks.

“At the counter, thank you. A cream-filled cornetto as well.”

The barista places the little cup on the counter. Elena takes her first sip while looking at the square through the open door.

“How much do I owe you?” Elena asks.

“Two euros fifty.” “Here you are. Thank you, have a good day.”
