A simple word, a real voice, the first step towards a conversation.
Buongiorno is a word that opens doors. You can say it when entering a shop, arriving for an appointment, or meeting someone in the morning. Its meaning is simple; your tone can make it more formal, warmer, or brighter.
Listen to the recording and notice the middle of the word: buon-GIOR-no. Then repeat it without chasing every sound separately. Listen for its movement, its small arc. Slower playback can help you identify the sounds; return to normal speed to hear the natural rhythm.
The next step is a context. “Buongiorno, un caffè, per favore” — good morning, a coffee, please. Or simply a greeting as you enter a room. A word becomes yours when you find a moment to use it. You do not need to wait for a complex sentence: a short beginning can be a good beginning.
